FSG | Recording FSG Delivery via Website in CWT and Compass - DBFO Changes

Overview: The recent Delivering Better Financial Outcomes (DBFO) legislation has introduced changes to how a Financial Services Guide (FSG) is provided to clients. As of July 10, 2024, if the providing entity has made the FSG available on their website, there is no longer a requirement to give a physical copy to clients.

Our advice templates have changed to ensure advisers can more efficiently manage FSG with these new changes. If advisers are still providing a physical copy to clients, whether in person or via email, the FSG version and date will still need to be maintained in Xplan.

Steps to Record FSG Delivery via Website:

1. Update FSG Method of Delivery:

   1. Navigate to the Compliance > Core Compliance page in both CWT and Compass.
   2. Set the FSG Method of Delivery to "Website" as shown in the images provided.
   3. Leave the remaining FSG fields blank.

2. Bulk Update Option:

   • Use the Modify All functionality to update these fields in bulk.
   • Refer to the Technology Solutions article "FSG Modify All" for detailed instructions.

Note: Once the FSG Method of Delivery is set to "Website," there is no need to regularly update the FSG fields within CWT or Compass as new FSGs are released.
