Overview
CWT users with the Xplan (CWT) Alerts module can utilise a CWT Alert that activates a Fee Consent thread when the client reaches their Anniversary Date, now referred to as the Reference Date. This guide outlines the requirements and steps to effectively use this alert.
Requirements
- User Role: The user must be an adviser and be in the Client Adviser role for the client.
- Practice Opt-In: The practice must not have opted out of the Alert. If preferred, practices can opt out if they have their own fee consent thread.
Alert Details
- Thread Name: 'CWT Fee Consent from Jan 2025'
- Previous Thread: Replaces 'Fee Consent Required July 2022'
- Update Reason: The thread has been updated and renamed because the Fee Disclosure Statement (FDS) is no longer required from 10 January 2025.
- Activation Date: The new thread will start appearing for clients with a Reference Date from 20 January 2025 onward.
Steps to Utilise the Alert
- Ensure Adviser Role: Confirm that you are listed as the Client Adviser for the client.
- Check Practice Settings: Verify that your practice has not opted out of the CWT Alert.
- Monitor Reference Dates: Keep track of clients' Reference Dates to anticipate when the thread will activate.
- Engage with the Thread: When the thread 'CWT Fee Consent from Jan 2025' activates, follow the prompts to complete the fee consent process.
