Research Provider: Morningstar Authentication System Guide
The new authentication method will replace the existing capabilities controlled by CPAL site admin and will now be directly authenticated via Morningstar. This will gradually roll out to other systems as well.
Note: You need a Morningstar login to access this system. If you are support staff and do not have a login, please contact Morningstar or email Research@cpal.com.au for assistance.
Steps to Establish Connection on Xplan:

Go to Preferences:
- Navigate to
Preferences > Portfolio > Research Providers.
- Navigate to

Select Morningstar:
- In the list of Research Providers, find the option to
Establish Connectionfor Morningstar. Click on this option.
- In the list of Research Providers, find the option to

Login to Morningstar:
- You will be redirected to the Morningstar Login page. Enter your Morningstar ARC credentials and log in.

Connection Established:
- After logging in, you will be redirected back to Xplan. Wait a few seconds for the connection to be established.
