Adding Accounts

Navigate to the client’s profile in Xplan, then from the left side menu click on Portfolios à Portfolio > Position as per below screenshot.

Note: where the client’s name is highlighted green, ensure the intended client is selected, not “View All”, then Click Add > Account:

On the Edit Account Details page, name the Account and click OK

Once the Account is set up, click Add again and Quick Entry:

Change the Account to the one just created and enter the balance in the Initial Cash to Invest field.

Select your Allocation Mode and search for the investment under Security, it is highly recommended to search via the APIR code.

For the figures to be allocated correctly, ensure that you click after you have entered the Percentage or Market Value, click on the blank space as per the red box above so they set.

If more investments need to be added, click on the

To copy some or all of the investments from a portfolio currently held by the client, click on , if there are multiple investment options in the other portfolio, you will need to click on the  to provide room for the investments and  to remove ones not required, , then Save.

 

Removing Accounts

If you need to remove an account previously created, or created in error, navigate to the Portfolios > Portfolio > Position screen as per below screenshot.

Note:, where the client’s name is highlighted green, ensure the intended client is selected, not “View All” , then Click Admin > Cash & Accounts:

 Click on the  to remove the unwanted account. You can also click on Add Portfolio Account to add another one but investments under the account will need to be added via Quick Entry in Portfolios > Portfolio > Position.
